The Silent Lake

 

Ripples died, stunned silence waited
Vision blurred by droplets of late rain, breath abated,
I stood by the silent lake.

Lantern far away, light flickering
Tiny cocoon of hope whispering,
"She stands by the silent lake."

Constellation of thoughts, surrendered in pain
Stone unturned lay in vain,
I inched closer to the silent lake.

Valley resounded, love reverberating
Dreams far upon the horizon waiting,
The silent lake becomes her.

Depths fathomless, heights fearless
A tsunami unites,
Ripples in the silent lake arise.
